		Hi,
  RGB-D cameras like kinect are better for indoor reconstruction (in particular those with TOF depth camera technology).
 Stereo cameras are better for localization indoor/outdoor, and for outdoor reconstruction.
 Stereo IR cameras with IR pattern (like realsense) are better than RGB stereo cameras for indoor reconstruction (but not as good as RGB-D cameras).
