How to configure Iphone settings in Rtab-map iOS app

Red
Hello,

I hope this post finds you well. I would like to know please which settings to set to get the best ever 3D scan of a whole house or even a set of buildings, or an alley. I searched long but couldn't find and there are many settings.

Is it normal that when using the "eye" mesh the ram gets to around 6000 then stops and shuts down the file ad get's out of the app ?

Is it normal to get a max of 6000 RAM  shown on the app on an Iphone 17 pro max ? How to increase it ?

Do you know please any good tutorial please from start to end.

And thank you very much and infinitely for making such an app available. It's the best app ever.

Hi Red,

The default settings are tuned for room-size or small appartment scanning.

For larger scanning, it is possible to reduce resolution the real-time rendering to save RAM, or even completly save on drive (without any feedback in data recorder mode).

If you are struggling to export the optimized mesh (lack of RAM), it is possible to use the standalone app to do so.

To keep your phone working, iOS would limit the maximum RAM than an App can use, which could explain why no more than 6GB is available on your phone for this app.

Cheers,
