Solid state lidar ie Velabit

I'm wondering if any testing has been carried out using SSL such as Velabit or even if it would be possible with Rtabmap? Could several be overlapped to create a 360 view similar to conventional units ie VLP-16 or ousters OS series?

Hi,

I didn't test SSL, but if you place 6 velabits to cover 360, it could be similar to a VLP16, though the vertical FOV seems smaller. You would have to check how they can be synchronized together, or what is the frame rate.
