Using already built map for localiation

Hello,

I made an occupancy grid map and have a png and an associated yaml.  The map can be loaded using map server. But when I launch the demo_turtlebot_mapping with localization option the map disappears. Is it possible to use the demo_turtlebot mapping with an already built map?

Hi,

RTAB-Map requires a RTAB-Map's database for the map, not a png/yaml like map_server. See Localization mode section of this tutorial for turtlebot and rtabmap: http://wiki.ros.org/rtabmap_ros/Tutorials/MappingAndNavigationOnTurtlebot
