Zed 2i on RTAB-map windows 10 - Camera Initialization failed

AdamTod
Hello! I've just purchased a ZED 2i camera and have been trying to set it up with the RTAB-map Cuda 11 Standalone application. Running on windows 10 with Cuda 11.5 and the associated software for the ZED 2i.

When selecting ZED SDK from the stereo camera selection I get - camera Initialization Failed: "Camera Not Detected"

I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing or whether I need to manually calibrate the camera as a Stereo USB? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

Just tried 0.20.16 on windows 10 and ZED2, seems okay:

ZED2 should be detected in Device Manager:

You can check if the ZED apps are detecting you camera.

cheers,
Mathieu

Hi Mathieu,

Thanks for that info.

The camera is working with the ZED apps and visible in device manager.

in the release notes for 0.20.16 it notes use with ZED SDK 3.3.3 which does not support the ZED 2i. Could this be causing the camera not to be detected?

Im working with Cuda 11.1 but the ZED 2i is only compatible with ZED SDK 3.5 onwards.

Thanks again for your help on this issue.

Oh Zed2 and Zed2i are two different things, I updated new 0.20.16 binaries with ZED 3.6.5: https://github.com/introlab/rtabmap/releases/download/0.20.16/RTABMap-0.20.16-win64-cuda11.5-zed3.6.5.exe

You may give a try.
