Thanks for your answer. Yes I'm using an iPhone and I have low depth confidence. This was convenient for me because both the left and right walls would be scanned nicely as I would just walk straight. But I guess I'll have to change then.

About distorsion and depth confidence, is this something that I can adjust now or it has to be tweaked before scanning ?

EDIT: I would like to add that if I generate the final point cloud from "laser scans" instead of RGB-D, then the result is really clean and not noisy, although very sparse. Only a few nodes have an associated laser scan. I'm confused: what is this exactly ?
