If I understood you correctly you are suggesting to get RGB data (CameraInfo) from the camera and depth data (PointCloud2) from Velodyne. In other words you are suggesting not to use depth information from the stereo camera and basically use it as a monocular camera. And if that is the case, wouldn't it be a better to use, instead of ZED, a monocular camera that has greater resolution than ZED? Or are there some advantages to using ZED that I am overlooking?
