Hi,

When stereo_image_proc is started:
$ rosrun rqt_reconfigure rqt_reconfigure
  then select stereo_image_proc panel, you will see the stereo strategy combobox:


But yeah, this could be an option that could be added directly to rtabmap for convenience: https://github.com/introlab/rtabmap/issues/77
